The Prayer

First off, a HUGE thanks to Ches for giving my blog the MUCH needed shot of cyberbotox!!! Show the guy some love, he's a WAY better writer than I'll ever be.

And here's a prayer I wrote for a school liturgy that I wanted to share with y'all.

Dear Lord,

We thank you that there is at least one person in our lives who'd give up their lives for us, because they show us the true meaning of unconditional love.

We thank you that there is at least one person in our lives who'd give up a great deal for us, for the show us that even love has its boundaries.

We thank you for at least one person in our lives who'd give up very little for us, because they teach us the value of acquaintanceship and to bestow our trust on others wisely.

We thank you for at least one person in our lives who'd give up absolutely NOTHING for us, for they teach us that we're NOT perfect, we're NOT infallible, we're NOT actually all that.

Finally, Lord, we thank you that when we may get hurt and cry over the fourth group....for the first, second and third who'll hold us when we hurt and not ask questions, for it is tears that make us human.........

......and people that make humanity worth it.
