Real People, Real Quotes
Some of you might recognize a line here...know that if you ARE, in fact, a proud owner of a quote here, you changed my life perceptibly with a comment you may even have thought was offhand. I have been SO blessed in my 16 years with people who saw fit, at a time I needed it, to be brutally honest, shatteringly malicious, fiercely loyal. Know that you were a turning point that I mightn't have had without you.
"I think....I saw you as...kind of a light?"
"Yeah, she's really popular but she's nice to people who aren't."
"You are the worst Editor the Torch Bearer has ever had."
"I was SO f**king angry!!! I mean, HOW could he say that to you?!"
"You are my pride and joy....and I respect and value you and your opinions more than you'll ever realize."
"When the two of you are on stage together, I feel sorry for you."
"And Sangi...he said you're kinda....gettin annoying..."
"You're a SLUT!"
"You're not happy anymore....you used to be so happy. What happened?"
"Maybe all she needs is someone to find her...kind of like you found me."
"Just like you are responsible for all your past failures!"
"Ok, ok, how about I be the mother, and you be my daughter?"
"I'm...really sorry."
"We were talking about how amazing you are..."
"Why did you say that?"
"I treasure your insights and perspectives more than you think I do."
"Sarala Aunty wants to know why you always wear the same dresses."
"I'm losing a very good student...."
"I want you to write to me, because I have a feeling you'll make a mark."
"Look at yourself, now, girl, who are you?"
